Homework & Quizzes: A typical homework assignment will consist of a few of the assigned problems on each area, designated in advance, when contend is introduced. Students are responsible for the solution of homework problems. We will regularly have quizzes on Wednesday. Quizzes will be based on homework problems. They will be intended to prepare you for the exams. However, they will be intended for completion in a short time. The lowest quiz/hw score will be dropped. Except in extreme cases, there will be no make-up quizzes given. I strongly encourage you to see me if you are having difficulty with the material in this course. I will do my best to help you overcome any difficulties with the material.
Exams: There will be three exams. Exams will be taken on the assigned date. Personal illness or a family emergency, accompanied by appropriate documentation, are the only excuses for submitting a late homework assignment or for requesting a make-up exam.
Grading: Exam I- 25%, Exam II-25%, Final (comprehensive)-30%, HW&Quizzes- 20%
