Structure of Number Systems
Math 3033
This course is a first course in mathematics concepts for elementary school teachers. It or an
equivalent which may be taken at lower level is required for elementary certification at UHCL.
The content covers the development of number concepts from set theory through the real number
system. It includes the history of the development of our number system, some important
alternative systems, and operations on numbers.
